Mydoom Virus (Monday, 16 August 2004)FunnelWeb Internet would like all our customers to be aware of a new mass-mailing virus!
The W32.Mydoom.P@mm virus is the latest threat to internet users. According to early analysis, this virus has a high “Damage Potential” rating, and a high “Distribution Potential” rating.
FunnelWeb reminds users not to open email attachments unless the mail is from a recognized sender. We also recommend all FunnelWebbers make sure their virus definitions are up to date.

Sasser Worm (Wednesday, 5 May 2004)The Sasser worm is the latest threat to user Internet security, once infected a system will constantly reboot and the user will be unable to stop this. The system will then be able to infect other machines connected to the Internet. It is recommended that all FunnelWebbers download and run the removal tool that is available from Symantec at: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FxSasser.exe. Easter Office Hours (Tuesday, 15 April 2003)FunnelWeb Internet wish to advise during the Easter period and Anzac long weekend, the office will be operating on revised opening hours and closed on public holidays. The revised FunnelWeb Internet Easter/Anzac hours are as follows: - 18 April (Good Friday) – Closed;
- 19 April (Easter Saturday) – Closed;
- 21 April (Easter Monday) – Closed;
- 22 April - Open 10am - 2pm;
- 23 April - Open 10am - 2pm;
- 24 April - Open 10am - 2pm;
- 25 April (Anzac Day) – Closed;
- 26 April - Open 10am - 2pm.
FunnelWeb will re-open as normal Monday 28 April 2003. During the revised opening hours the office will be open for technical assistance including new accounts and cash payments.
